About The Teacher

Mrs. Crofts- This is my fifth year teaching at DeSales Catholic. I
graduated from Buffalo State College with a degree in Early Childhood
Education and I am currently working on my Masters Degree in ECE with a
Literacy Emphasis at the University of Buffalo. Before coming to DeSales I
was a preschool teacher at both Discovery Preschool and the YWCA.
My husband and I have four children ages 12 - 28. Our youngest is
entering 7th grade at DeSales this year. We happily live in the
city of Lockport and enjoy taking advantage of the many cultural and
historical events the city has to offer.

Miss Agostini- This year marks my ninth year teaching at DeSales Catholic
School. Before starting at DeSales I was a long-term substitute for the
Barker School District for a full year. My experiences there included a long-
term substitute position for a second grade class, another long-term
substitute position as gifted and talented coordinator, and regular day to
day substitute positions. I completed my undergraduate work at SUNY
Geneseo. Upon graduating, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary
Education, which included a minor in Human Development. In 2002 I went back
to school to receive my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Reading
from Buffalo State. I absolutely love being an elementary teacher. There is
nothing else I could picture myself doing. I am truly blessed!

Mission

Our classrooms should be warm, welcoming, and accepting. Places where
students can try new things and learn from their mistakes. We will work
closely together, sharing ideas and modeling cooperation for our students.
Though we will do many things together and follow the same curriculum, we
feel it is important to respond to the needs and interests of the individual
students. To that end we will plan different lessons and activities in our
separate classrooms to respond to those needs and reflect our own unique
personalities.
