About The Teacher
I grew up in Saugerties, NY. After graduating high school, I attended college. I received a Bachelors of Science in Education/Elementary from SUNY New Paltz. I also received a Masters of Science in Education/Special Education from SUNY New Paltz. I have worked in the Dolgeville Central School District for Five years. I worked three years in the area of Special Education. This is my second year teaching fifth grade ELA.

Mission
1) Increase students comprehension levels 2) Increase reading fluency 3) Practice dictionary skills 4) Review the eight parts of speech 5) Introduce figurative language and devices used in poetry 6) Review story elements such as plot, characters, etc. 7) Prepare students for the 5th grade NYS ELA Exam 8) Introduce a variety of writing techniques such as persuasive, friendly letter, compare/contrast, How-to, adventure story, etc.
