What time is dismissal?

Students in third grade are dismissed at about 2:50. If you plan
to pick up your child and he/she normally rides a bus you need to
send in a note that morning. If it is an unplanned pick up you
will need to go to the elementary office to sign your child out.

What if my child is absent?

If your child is absent from school he/she needs to bring in a
note from you as to the reason for the absence when he/she
returns to school. Your child is responsible for making up any
missed in-class work or homework. It is difficult to send many
assignments that are done in class home so he/she may have to
give up a recess or two.

What if my child needs to be picked up early for an appointment?

If your child needs to be dismissed early, it would be
appreciated if you sent in a note stating this on the day it is
needed. When you arrive at the school you will need to go to the
elementary office to sign out your child. The secretary will
then call to the classroom for your child to be dismissed.

How are birthdays celebrated in your classroom?

We will celebrate every student's birthday. The celebration will
be held on the day of the birthday or as close as possible.
Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June. Your child is
welcome to bring in a treat from home. Please make sure that you
provide enough for the entire class. At this time there are
sixteen students in our class. If you provide something that
needs special utensils, etc. please provide them as well.
