Welcome! My name is Cheryl Phillips. My husband and I grew up in
Cooperstown, New York. I went to college at SUNY Oswego. In 1976, I started
teaching second grade at Dolgeville. I taught second grade for 31 years. This
is my third year teaching third grade.
My husband and I live in Herkimer. We have one daughter
named Lindsay. She is a physical therapist in Middletown, Connecticut.
Lindsay got married on May 29, 2009. Her husband's name is Jeff.
I enjoy reading, exercising, watching the Yankees, and spending time
with my family.
I'm sure our goals are pretty much the same. To give students a
challenging and rewarding education. My mission is to create an environment
for meaningful and interesting activities for my students and to build a firm
foundation for the skills needed to succeed in third grade.
A few adjectives to describe me are friendly, excited and organized. I
LOVE teaching and I am REALLY looking forward to another fantastic year!
