February 8th-12th
- Our theme this week was Valentine's Day. We made our mailboxes and began passing out Valentines. Next week we will continue with Valentine's Day. I have sent home a class list for Valentines. I'd like to have all of the Valentines delivered by Wednesday, February, 10th, so that they can be distributed before our party.
- In Fundations we continued "tapping" out or decoding words, making word families, and reading sentences with our sight words. Next week we will continue practicing decoding words and learn the sound for th.
- In science we learned about the energy and light that we get from the sun. We will continue on this unit and learn more about the sun's energy.
- This week in math we worked on measurement. Next week we will continue with the unit of study and measure objects using candy hearts.
- Our Valentine's Day party will be Friday, February 12th at 12:45-1:20 (we have library at 1:25). We are going to decorate cupcakes with frosting and Valentine candies before we eat them. We will also celebrate Emma's birthday. The following families have volunteered to help with the party: Cupcakes- Lindecke; Healthy Treat- Conley ; Paper Products-Kosier; Frosting and candy- Palluti.
