Specialist at the James S. Evans Elementary School. She teaches AIS Math and
English Language Arts to fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. She also teaches
reading
and writing to first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students.
Mrs. Olmo has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PreK-6) and a
Master's degree in Literacy (Birth-Grade 6). Her passion in life has always
been to teach children. Teaching children is not just a career for her, but
she feels that it is her true purpose in life.
Mrs. Olmo lives in the Town of Poughkeepsie with her husband and dog, Mindy
Girl. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, swimming, and spending
quality time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Olmo's mission is to help her students become motivated, determined,
and responsible for his/her learning. She wants children to know that hard
work and the will to succeed are far more important to achieving success
than just being smart. She also hopes to foster the love of reading and
writing in all of her students. She wants them to enjoy literacy as much as
she does.
