All children residing within Fishkill Elementary School boundaries are
assigned to and expected to ride the bus to and from school each day. There
are times it may be necessary to transport your child. At those times,
please follow the procedures outlined. The procedures will provide a smooth
and orderly arrival and dismissal. More importantly, they will help us
provide a safer and more secure environment for your child.
Children may not be dropped off in the building prior to 8:50 a.m. as
there is no supervision. The buses arrive at 8:50 a.m. and unload at that
time. Announcements begin at 9:00 a.m. which officially begins the day.
Children arriving after 9:00 a.m. are considered tardy and must report
to the office with a note explaining the reason for tardiness. It is very
important that children arrive on time as very important information is
presented at the onset of the school day and a tone is established for the
day as well. When children miss that routinely, they are beginning their day
at a disadvantage.
Please be reminded that our driveway is one-way from a north to south
direction.
