Please be sure to send in the gingerbread house supplies that your child volunteered to supply. Also, book orders for December are due by 12/7/09. As I noted on the letter, if you would like to order books as gifts, enclose a note and I will let you know when they are received in the class. You can pick them up in the office.
Just to let you know, we have reviewed 'Trick' words from First grade. Students need to be able to recognize them in their reading and spell them correctly in their writing. Students have been tested on the first grade 'Trick' words and we have begun working with new Second Grade 'Trick' words. The new 'Trick' words will be introduced in the Fundations unit dictation packets.
Please remember that it is very important for your children to get a good night of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast each day. We begin working as soon as they arrive in the morning and really pack a great deal into every single day. It is also very important that they do their homework each night as it serves as a review of what is being taught during the day.
