Appropriate social skills are vital for successful interactions within academic environments, employment situations, and out in the community. If a student is having some difficulty with demonstrating appropriate social skills or is having difficulty developing friendships with peers, the student may benefit from participating in individual and/or group sessions that help students develop these skills. The sessions typically occur for a period of 10 weeks and focus on assisting students in developing key social skills that they may be lacking. These sessions use demonstrations by peers and adults, activities in the sessions, and "homework" to be done outside of the sessions. If you are interested in participating in these sessions and feel that you are in need of developing better social skills please see or contact Mrs. Kretz-Harvey or your guidance counselor. *The key to success in these sessions, and successful results following the completion of the sessions, is the desire to improve!
