The best gift a parent can give their child is the love of books and the 
benefit of reading together.  Children who gain reading experience at home, 
have a head start on their success in school.

Owning your own books is something special!  I hope that you will encourage 
your child to order books this year.  I know of no better way to encourage 
reading than to allow children to select the books they want to read.

I will be sending home a new book order each month.  You’ll find a wide 
selection of inexpensive, award-winning books.  These books are at various 
reading levels and span many different interests.
If you will be ordering books for your child, please:


1.  Just make your choices on the order form.  Be sure to write your child's
name on the form.


2.  Total the order and make your check out to Scholastic Book Club or send the correct amount of money (if more than 1 order form, all can be included in the same check).


3.  Return order form and check or money to the total amount to school in an
envelope or baggie.


4.  Be sure to return by the due date.
