Athletic Events Today
• Varsity lacrosse at Home vs. Mynderse Academy at 4:30 on the stadium field
• JV Softball at Home vs. Oriskany at 4:30
• Golf at Home vs. Sauquoit at 3:30
• Varsity Tennis at Canastota at 4:30…bus leaves at 3:00.

The Golf Team rolled to victory over Waterville yesterday.  Strong play by Josh Hodge and Andrew 
Kraynak paced the Knights to another win.

The Varsity Softball team beat league leading and undefeated Oriskany last night 9-8. Calyn 
Fisher pitched her first Varsity win, striking out two while only allowing 7 hits.  The defense 
played outstanding recording 21 put-outs. Sara Whyatt continued her home run streak with a two-
run blast in the fourth inning. Nicole Beers and Calyn each belted triples while Liz Unger had 
an RBI double. Kylie Martin and Coral Dowsland also contributed with RBI’s. The team is now 15-3 
overall and 6-3 in league play.  Awesome team win…practice today at 3:30.

The Varsity Tennis team remained undefeated with a 4-1 home win over Mount Markham. Gennady 
Julien rallied for a 3-set win at first singles, while Josh Valencia, Ryan Burdick and the 
doubles team of Richard Ammerman-John Valencia also gained wins.  The 9-0 Knights play at 
Canastota today.

Boys Mod Baseball defeated Oriskany last night 22 to 14. Phil Kane pitched a solid six inning 
with Sam Hale closing the seventh. Hitters were Max Labrague, Nick Koen, Sam Hale, Sam Owens, 
Cody Browning Rob Keever. Great defensive plays by Ben Yacavone, Sam Hale, Sam Owens and Cody 
Browning. Great job!

Varsity Baseball lost last night to Oriskany 10-4. Tyler White led the team with 3 hits. Carson 
Browning had 2.  There is a change in practice today due to the Lacrosse game. We will be on the 
field after school as soon as possible and off by 4:30.

Last night the Modified Softball team was defeated by Oriskany.  Offensively the Knights 
combined for only 3 hits to Oriskany’s 17, making the difference in the game. Marissa Sitts 
pitched the entire game, striking out 6. Good effort against a very good team.

AP World History will meet cell 5 today – your seminar will be rescheduled.

Chess Club meets today after school in Room 208.
Seniors: Future plans questionnaires are still missing. If this is you, please see Mr. Morse or 
Mrs. Parker as soon as possible.  Scholarship deadline is May 15. Please turn your applications 
into the Counseling office.  There is a new scholarship available to a student pursuing a 4-year 
degree in engineering or manufacturing. If you are interested, please pickup and application.

Band Lessons: Cell 3:Clarinet 1; Cell 1:Clarinet 2; Cell 4:Saxophone 1; Cell 5:Low Saxes

Mr. Dowsland’s Cell 1 and Cell 7 Health classes please report to study hall today.

Junior and Senior FFA Officers have banquet practice tonight from 7 until 8:00.  All officers 
are expected in attendance.

6-8 Grade String Lesson Schedule: Cell 3:Violin III; Cell 1:Violin II; Cell 4:Viola; Cell 
5:Violin I; Orchestra meets at 12:45 by cafeteria to go to Colgate for dress rehearsal

There will be a lunch meeting today during middle school lunch in Ms. White’s room for anyone 
interested in the middle school skit in the Hammy’s.
