This is my fifth year here at HCS. Prior to coming to Honeoye I taught for one year at Kenmore West
High School outside of Buffalo, NY. I am a graduate of Midlakes High School (1999), SUNY Oswego
(2003) and SUNY Albany (2007). I reside in the small town of Phelps where my husband and I recently
purchased my childhood home. We busy ourselves spending time with family; traveling; doing
housework; playing with our one-year old son, Maxwell; and preparing for the February birth of our
second child. My favorite TV shows include "The Office", "Scrubs",and "Prison Break", and I
love to read all sorts of novels: classics (TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD), young adult literature (especially
written by Laurie Halse Anderson), and anything else I can get my hands on. I look forward to
another great year at HCS!
The mission for this class is for students to become critical thinkers and reflective learners through
experiences in reading, writing, and interaction with others. You are about to embark on employment,
military service or higher education and need to be responsible for yourselves! The goal of this class is
to function as a transition into "adulthood" as you prepare to leave the halls of HCS and venture out on
your own.
