About Miss Kraft

Miss Kraft

Honeoye Central High School

11th Grade US History and Government and 12th Grade Participation in Government and Syracuse University Project Advance - Public Affairs

After graduating from Honeoye, I received my B.A. in History at Syracuse University. I then moved to
Atlanta, GA to be a part of Teach For America, where I taught at Sylvan Hills Middle School. I recently
finished my master's degree at the University of Rochester. In addition to teaching social studies, I also
coach 7th grade girls basketball.

What do I want you to take away from this year?

This class is much more than me throwing names, places and dates at you, and then you throwing
them back at me on a test. We will be looking at and evaluating the foundations of government, and
understanding the implications in today’s society. (War, civil rights, foreign policy, and other areas of
interest to you) We will also study how different individuals throughout history have challenged and
influenced change in society. And we will start to look at your role in this big picture. You will be
developing skills too, like writing, public speaking, and research.
