FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
  1. Why do I need a 2" binder?
  2. Will homework be assigned every night?
  3. When is Mrs. Curtis available to give me extra math help?

Why do I need a 2" binder?

A smaller binder will not hold all of the information that students will need
to contain during the course of the year. Overstuffed binders or folders do
not last long and will need to be replaced, so it is more economical to
purchase the correct size in the beginning of the year.
Organization will be a very
important part in your success in this class.

Will homework be assigned every night?

Homework is just another word for "practice". It usually must take place at
home because of limited time in the classroom and during the school day.
Homework may be assigned every night, however there are often opportunities to
begin, and sometimes complete, the assignment in class.

When is Mrs. Curtis available to give me extra math help?

I arrive to school every morning by 7:00 a.m. Students are welcome to come to
my room in the morning to get help with homework or study for a test. I am
also available most days after school until 3:15, but meetings sometimes come
up, and you should check with me to be sure. I am here many nights until 5:30
or even later, so I can work around your sports schedule. I am also available
several times during the school day, so check your study hall schedule and see
if any of those times work for you.
