Committees

Committee Descriptions and Members

Leadership –  Chair: Megan Badger
	Responsible for: providing training exercises/activities for members 
during monthly meetings, which will enhance our existing leadership 
skills.  Also assist in planning and carrying out Leadership Conference 
activities.

Members: Megan Badger, Alicia Cornelia, Andrew Gotham, Emily Hargrave, Mike
O'Leary, Alex Persson, Amanda Vinson, Thea Beaney, Erika Orman, Chloe Partsch

Service – Chair: Dan Crocker
	Responsible for:  identifying areas within the community and beyond 
which individual or groups could use as a service requirement.  In some 
cases some phone calls and set up may be necessary.  Keeping track 
of all members’ service requirements throughout the school year.

Members: Dan Crocker, Marcus Way, Spencer Hawkins, Sean Thorton, Laura Dunn,
Grace Walker

Bulletin Board – Chair: Andrea Jones
	Responsible for:  establishing and maintaining the NHS Bulletin 
Board outside of Nurses Office.  Must keep current and update on a monthly 
basis.  Visual presentation guidelines should be followed.

Members: Andrea Jones, Jessica Andres, Andrea Jones, Breanna Lamont, Emily 
Morse, Emma Green, Lindsey Robinson

Website – Chair: Mike Pellittiere
	Responsible for: establishing and maintaining the NHS link off of 
the HCS home page.  Must be kept current with all pertinent information and 
updated on a monthly basis.

Members: Mike Pellittiere, Ben Ward, Charlie Moores, Billy Smith

Newsletter – Chair: Ashley Phillipps
	Responsible for:  publication of NHS Newsletter (front/back 
publication), which will be distributed each marking period.  Articles will 
cover NHS activities, leadership spotlights, service happenings, etc.  All 
articles will be proof read by two other committee members to check for 
spelling/grammar issues.

Members: Ashley Phillipps, Louissa Camarra, Amanda Vinson, Anna Deats, 
Jessica Hettinger.

Each committee will meet each month to outline and meet its goals.  
The committee chair will take attendance and provide advisor with 
meeting minutes.  They will then report progress to the whole group at 
our regularly scheduled meetings.  Failure to attend these meetings 
and fulfill your committee requirements could result in being placed on 
probation (revocation of your member in good standing status.)  If your 
status has been revoked, your privileges can be taken away – off 
campus lunch, hall pass, graduation recognition, etc.
