The National Honor Society was founded in 1921 to recognize and
encourage academic achievement while developing other
characteristics essential to citizens of a democratic society.
Membership is an honor that is acknowledged by many. It signifies that
as a member of the National Honor Society, one will continue to
maintain the standards and qualities that won him or her selection
initially.
