Meet Miss Bush

This will be my third year as a third grade teacher at Jefferson
Elementary.
I finished graduate school at The College of Saint Rose in August 2006 and
immediately began substitute teaching in the Capital Region. Beginning in
early March 2006 I recieved a long-term substitute position in fourth grade
here at Jefferson.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I received my bachelors from Siena College in
Marketing and began a career in the hotel industry as an Account Executive.
However, it is teaching that brings me the most joy and excitement!

Here's a bit more about my life you may be interested in! I am the oldest
member of my family. My brother is only a few years younger and works as a
graphic designer near NYC. I have a golden retriever named Cooper, who all
of my 3rd graders will get to know very well!
I love sports and outdoor activities! I enjoy Yankee games and kayaking
during the summers! I also enjoy reading and writing in my free time. My
favorite books are historical fiction and biographies.

BIG NEWS: I just got engaged!!

Expectations

I am very excited to be teaching third grade this year. I look forward to
learning more about each of my students and helping them to achieve what
he/she is capable of. I believe it is important to help student set academic
and personal goals and push them to not only meet those goals, but exceed
their capabilities.
I would describe myself as enthusiastic, motivated, creative, devoted, and
compassionate. I have those same expectations for each child that enters the
classroom. My goal is that each child will enjoy learning and maintain a
positive attitude. I expect all students to put forth their best effort, be
responsible, organized and caring towards others.
