After spending time writing, figuring out how fog machines work and finding a way to make flying bats appear, our 5th grade Haunted house was a great success!! The students of Jefferson were led through a spooky haunted classroom with screaming children and a very strange looking teacher. They were then led through a spooky and bat filled cemetery filled with tombstones, spiders and illuminated skulls. At the end of their tour they were met with the sight of a screeching Miss Jefferson vaporizing before their eyes and leaving only her hat behind. There was much screaming, creepy creatures appearing out of no where and holding onto friends for courage but fun was had by all. We celebrated with a pizza party for lunch and a Halloween celebration after the Haunted House was officially closed. And now its back to our normal selves....or is it???
