Assessment: Assessment is based on quizzes, exams, lab assignments, daily participation and demonstrated skill. Activities/Projects Unique to this Class: • Students will be bringing home, for a weekend, a life skills manikin called the Ready or Not Tot. This “doll” requires the students attention as it cries to be fed, changed, burped and played with. Recommended/Required Materials for Class: • Three-ring binder (1 inch), 3 dividers, and loose leaf paper • One 9 volt battery for the Ready or Not Tot Grading Procedures: By Quarter: • Class work/Homework: 30% • Projects/Participation: 40% • Tests/Quizzes: 30% Grading Procedures: For the Semester: • Each Quarter is worth 2/5th of the final grade with a cumulative final worth 1/5th of the final grade For Late Assignments: • Points will be subtracted from each late assignment based on a rate of 10% per day.
