I began teaching high school physics and math when I was in graduate school
and returned to teaching after applying physics and chemistry to industrial
problems for 20 years. I have three children who graduated from John Jay. My
first was Valedictorian in 1984 and is now a doctor with three children. My
second graduated in 1997 and graduated in 2001 from the US Military Academy
at West Point. After a tour in Iraq, he is currently a Captain. My third
graduated in 1999 and was Valedictorian in 2003 at Christendom College in
Virginia. He is currently completing a PhD in history at Notre
Dame.

around us. Topics such as Newton's laws, Electricity and Magnetism will be
studied. A goal is for an improvement in understanding of physics
concepts.
The course is activity based and your success will depend on your active and
productive participation in these activities.
Regents Physics
To learn the fundamentals of physics and how it is used to solve problems.
A goal is to achieve mastery on the NYS Regents exam in June, 2009.
