Course Desription

Algebra 1B is a required course to complete the Algebra sequence. The 
completion of the course is ther Algebra Regent, which will be administered 
at the end of June. There will be cumulative tests at the end of marking 
period 1 & 2. The final grade will be an average of 4 marking periods and 
the regent. The regent will be administered at the end of June during exam 
week.

Living Environment is a 1 year course, for 9th and 10th graders, which 
culminates with a regent in June.. To be eligible for the regent, New York 
State requires students to submit 20 passing lab hours. These labs are 
secured at the school and only go home if they need to be completed. If the 
student requires revisions, then they will receive a copy of the lab. There 
will be a midterm at the end of the 2nd marking period. This midterm will 
count as 1 test grade for the quarter. The final grade, for the course, is 
the average of 4 marking periods and the regent exam.

Period 0 Resource Room is offered to classified students who do not have 
room in their schedule. Bus transportation is not available. The class is 
from 6:30-7:00 only on odd days. It is also available to any student in my 
class who can get a ride to school at theis early hour. No previous notice 
is required. If there is a 2 hour delay then this class is cancelled.
Please see me if you need community service and meetings for your P.I.G. 
requirements. You can complete these requirements before the class starts.

Every other day Resource Room is where I am ecxpecting students to work on 
individual class assignment as well as strengthening their weaknesses. 
Testing adaptations is also given during this time period. The exam will be 
given back to the classroom teacher if the student chooses not to attend 
class and does not have a written pass. This class adheres to all school 
polocies including hats, eatting and arriving on time.
