Mr. McIlwee teaches 9th and 12th grade Social Studies classes.
This is a required course in the study of Global History. It will serve as
one half of the requirement for Global History and Geography, the second half
wil be taught in tenth grade. Therefore, all material in this class will
also be applied to the Global History and Geography Regents exam you will
take at the end of tenth grade. We will begin our study with the Ancient
World (3000 B.C.E.) and continue up to the begining of the Modern World (1750
Ad). In each area of study we will concentrate on the six themes of cultural
diffusion, migrations, mult-regional empires, belief systems, trade, and
conflict.
