Symphonic Band

Rehearsal and Performance Information – Graduation

Every other year, Symphonic Band plays at Graduation. This is our year, and the event is on Friday, June 26^th at the Mid Hudson Civic Center.

Rehearsals

• Monday June 22^nd from 7:30 to 10:00am in the band room.

The Performance

• Please arrive at John Jay no later than 4:51pm on Friday, June 26^th.
• If you like, you can bring a bag dinner to eat on the bus.
• Please wear formal black concert attire. This concert is a large performance for us, and we still need to look professional. The Civic Center is air conditioned. New members can wear all black.
• We will arrive at the civic center around 5:45. We will get in, set up, warm up, and…
• We will be playing a few selections as a prelude in addition to the processional, interlude, and recessional. Please have the following music prepared:
• Washington Post March  **
• Half Moon on the Hudson  **
• Ceremonium **
• The Star Spangled Banner
• Pomp and Circumstance
• America the Beautiful
• Triumphal March
• We will not finish and be back to John Jay until late. Estimate 9:00 to 10:00pm. You can call for a ride to pick you up at John Jay when we are leaving the Civic Center.
