1 A
commencement-level course in Technology Education may be used as the third
unit of credit in Mathematics or Science, but not both
2 Students
who complete Checkpoint A and two units of study in a single foreign language
no later than the end of grade 8 must pass the Second Language Proficiency
Examination in order to earn one unit of credit toward the high school diploma.
3Students
taking a sequence of not less than 5 units of credit in Art, Music, Business,
Technology, or Vocational Education may substitute another 3 unit or 5 unit
sequence in place of the 3 units of Foreign Language.

students must take and pass Physical Education during each semester of
attendance, including Personal Challenge (grade 9), Healthy Lifestyles (grade
10), and four semesters of Lifetime P.E. (grades 11 and 12). Each semester
earns 1/4 credit.
5The RCT
exam is available for special education students.
