The Danbury High School Guidance Department will be sponsoring the Danbury
College Fair which will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 5-9PM at the
Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT. There will be more than 250 two-year and
four-year colleges, nursing schools, business schools, and trade schools
represented. Officers and enlisted personnel from the various branches of
the military service will be on hand as well.
Dutchess Community College will be hosting College Night on Thursday,
November 5, 2009 from 6-8PM in Falcon Hall on the main campus of DCC. There
will be over 170 schools from NYS and beyond participating. Representatives
from the military service will be there as well. Information on
scholarships, financial aid and possible career paths after graduation will
be available to students and their families.
AFS: Think Outside Your Borders! Tuesday, October 27, 2009 - 7:30-9:30 PM in
the East Fishkill Community Library, Alley Room located at 348 Rt. 376,
Hopewell Junction. This is an event night for students and family to learn
more about study abroad. There are over 120 programs in more than 40
countries. Meet members of the AFS family that live in your community and get
answers to your questions.
The Mohawk Battalion invites students to attend the presentation of "The
American Professional Army Officer - Yesterday and Today" to be held on
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 6-8pm at SUNY Albany in Lecture Room 24.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and representatives from
West Point and from the Officer Candidate School program will be available.

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will be having a Multicultural
Overnight Program for high school juniors and seniors who would like to
matriculate to an excellent four-year college in the fall. The program will
take place on December 2-3, 2009 and will focus upon multicultural
experiences at MCLA and will provide the student with the opportunity to
connect with current students, faculty and staff member through a variety of
activities. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible, no
