How can we figure out the best courses for next year?

The course selection handbook is available on the district website.
Registration will take place toward the end of February. In the meantime,
guidance counselors are meeting with students to help them make appropriate
choices. At the same time, teachers are working on recommendations for each
student which will be available usually during the first week of February. If you have any questions,
you are urged to contact the Guidance Office. There will be a PTO meeting
dedicated solely to course selection.

How many AP courses should my child take as an upperclassman?

The question of whether your child takes any AP courses is a very individual
one and should be discussed with your child's guidance counselor.
Generally, however, students should take AP courses in subject areas for
which they have a passion.

When do we find out which teachers will be teaching which courses?

This happens in the May/June time frame. Logistical issues make this
difficult to determine any earlier in the year.

Can my child just hang out after school and take the Activity Bus home?

No. In order to ride on an Activity Bus, a child needs a note from a
teacher and/or librarian verifying that he/she was involved in a structured
after school activity (which includes studying at the library).
