Please take this time to make sure your son or daughter has completed the two major writing assignments for the quarter. Both are critical lens essays, one is on the Holocaust and the memoir Night by Elie Wiesel, and the second is on friendship and the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Failure to turn in both of these assignments may result in a less than desirable second quarter grade. Both assignments can be found on the Handouts Page.
During the month of January, students will be reading the play Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. Since the students will have a minmal amount of take home work during this time period, they will be expected to complete an independant read of the AGE APPROPRIATE, NON-FICTION book of their choice. These books should be read no later than Friday, February 12.
