2009-2010 Dear John Jay Students and Families, A community volunteer group is offering free math tutoring and homework assistance to students in grades 9 to 12 during the 2009-10 school year. The sessions are from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesdays at Van Wyck JHS. Students attending these sessions are expected to bring their homework and have their textbooks. A permission slip is necessary at the first meeting. Please see www.wappingersschools.org (Math Help)for more information. All Wappingers students in grades 9 – 12 are welcome to attend. October 7, 14, 21, 28 November 4, 18 December 2, 9, 16 January 6, 13, 20, 27 February 3, 10, 17, 24 March 3, 10, 17, 24 April 7, 14, 21, 28 May 5, 12 As always, communication is imperative between home and school and my door is always open. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress in school, significant events in their life or changes in their mood or behavior, please feel free to contact me.
