You will receive points off for that particular day, and consequently, a 
lower class participation grade.

What happens if I am absent from class?

You are always responsible for your work. I understand that we all get ill 
and circumstances result in missing school. However, if you are absent, it 
is your responsiblilty to make up the work and/or test that you missed.
