This year marks my 24th year of teaching science at John Jay. It
seems like only yesterday that I first stepped foot into the high school.
How time flies! Although I am what is referred to as a "veteran teacher", I
am still very enthusiac! I am very excited about teaching in our new
science wing with all of our new technology. I will continue to serve the
students of John Jay with the dedication and pride that I have had
demnstrated over these many years!
1)To prepare students to achieve mastery level on the N.Y. State Living
Environment Regents Exam in June.
2)To provide a foundation from which students can draw upon for success in
college biology courses.
3)To encourage critical thinking and to promote scientific literacy.
4)To develop proper techniques to be used in a science laboratory.
5)To develop scientific research skills through the planning and
implementation of the students own research project, along with other
projects.
6)To improve the students knowledge and use of technology through the
development of a power point slideshow.
7)To improve the students ability to speak publicly through the presentation
of projects in class.
8)To encourage an interest and curiosity in science which causes students to
question the living world in which we live.
