Do the parenting students have to take home the 'Ready or Not Tot'?

As the teacher, I feel that taking home the baby is an important part of the
parenting class. Students need to understand their responsibility in taking
home the doll, and for this reason parents need to sign a permission slip
showing that they understand the assignment.

How long do we have the 'Ready or Not Tot'?

The dolls will be with you for approximately three days.

Does the 'Ready or Not Tot' cry?

The infant doll cries like a real baby day and night. Students may become tired
as they care for their "child".

Are there any supplies that we need for the 'Ready or Not Tot'?

The only thing that you will need to supply for yourself is a 9 volt battery.
All other supplies for the doll; will be given to you the day that you take
it home.

Do the Child Development Classes really run a preschool?

The Child Development Classes will be running a story time for preschool age
students during the month of May. (Yes, there will be real children coming
for the labs.)

Should I buy cake decorating supplies for Baking and Pastry?

Although we have cake decorating equipment in our kitchens here at school,
that you will be using, it might benefit you to purchase some of your own
supplies. As with any skill practice is what will improve your abilities, and
you will probably want to practice at home.

What cake decorating supplies would I want to purchase for home?

I recommend that you try the equipment in the school's lab before you purchase
anything. This way you will discover if you enjoy cake decorating before you
buy supplies, and it will allow you to determine the equipment that you would
want to have at home.

Will my grade suffer if I don't purchase cake decorating supplies?

The art of cake decorating is a skill that requires patience and practice. I
will be grading you on the effort and patience you demonstrate, not just the
product. For this reason, it is not necessary for every student to purchase
supplies.
