English 9 follows the New York State guidelines for developing skills in the following content areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. While all of these areas are important, instruction will be adapted to meet the learning needs of individuals with respect to the aforementioned standards. Therefore, certain content areas might receive more attention than others throughout the corse of the academic year.
