5th: We have completed the chapter on past progressive with the past tense.
We have started the review packet. Expect a test on this next week, probably
Tuesday. The vocabulary packet on weather words was handed in yesterday.
We will review this and the other words relating to weather and have the test
next week.
6th: We read an article on tornados yesterday and did the comprehension
questions and vocabulary crossword today. (Sub covered 6th period)

6th: read in newspaper (Thanksgiving articles)

do pages 57 and 58 of vocabulary packet for Monday.
6th: took notes from hurricane reading

have looked at the example and made your own sentence for full credit.

5th: We worked in groups for practice on pp 74-75.
We applied vocabulary words to useful sentences. (note sheet given out)
6th: We did a crossword puzzle for digestive system. Test next week on all
body systems covered.

5th: We started past progressive formation and general usage. They handed
in the sheet.
6th: We reviewed vocabulary with the digestive system and viewed the online
movie and quiz. Vocabulary quiz for all body systems next week.
Nov. 9
5th: reviewed for test and had column 4 test. Practice test for homeowork.
Unit test on past tense is tomorrow, Nov. 10!!! Know your past tense
forms.
6th: finished reading the digestive system and started comprehension
questions.

5th: Did review packet on past tense and handed in. Some students are not
good at following directions. Read and listen carefully so that you do the
material correctly.

6th: corrected Kidney reading comprehension definitions. Read a small part
of the paper.

5th: Did comprehension and use questions in book and on CD. Did past tense
quiz with "used to" paragraph on back. 4th column quiz on Tuesday.

crossword to do for an extra challenge at home. If you left your crossword
home, you need to hand it in on Monday for partial credit. STUDENTS NEED TO
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR NOTES, NOTEBOOK, AND ASSIGNMENTS.

6th: We cleaned out folders. All notes ex: vocabulary, verb forms, maps
should be in a notebook which you carry back and forth from home. Only a
few papers should be in the classroom folders.
