About The Teacher

I am a 6th year teacher at Ketcham this year. As a resident of Wappingers
Falls I am familiar with the district and the accomplishments of past
students. I have interests in popular culture related to comic books,
graphic novels and animation and read mystery novels. I like scouring flea
markets and garage sales for old books, comics and popular culture items. I
enjoy eating junk food, reading and playing in the yard with my dogs.

I am the advisor for the Comic Book Club and aid the advisor for the Junior
Class.

Mission For Global 9 and Global 10

The mission of this class (and the New York State Education Department) is
to:
1. Have students use a variety skills to illustrate their understanding of
major ideas, eras, themes, developments, and turning points in World History.
2. Have students understand the location and geographic make up of countries
and posess the skills to map out the locations and regions of the world.
3. Enable to students to successfully complete the course work for Global
9.
Give them the tools and knowledge to enable them to pass the class and move
on to Global 10.
4. Give students the abilities and tools to interpret documents, political
cartoons, graphs and maps for data based questions. These tools will assist
students in formulating answers to essay questions that will be knowledge
based and well sonstructed thematic writings.

Global 10 will continue where Global 9 left off (The Age of Absolutism) and
move through World Affairs to the Present. Students will build upon the
skills utilized in Grade 9 and refamiliarize themselves with Global 9
content. At the same time they will be preparing themselves to pass the
state mandated Regents. Students cannot Graduate until they have
successfully completed their Regents requirements.

I will assist parents and students in accomplishing the student's learning
goals and give them the opportunity to succeed in my class.
