What happens if my child is absent?

If your child is not in school, we will make every effort to send work home
with the people you identified at the beginning of the year. Missing work
should be returned within a day or two of coming back to school. Students
are responsible for copying any notes that they missed during their
time out of the classroom. If your child has missed a test or quiz, he or she
will take it on the first day back.

What happens if my child does not complete his/her homework?

Incomplete or missing work is counted as a "0" on our checklists. If your
child turns in the missing work by the next morning, they will recieve
partial credit for completing it. The students may choose to work on missing
work during recess or at home.

Can I send in birthday treats on my child's birthday?

Yes, you can send in treats. The only thing we ask is that you avoid sending
in items with nuts. Also, be sure there are enough for everyone. We
currently have 27 students in our classroom. Birthday treats are shared
during lunch time in the cafeteria.

Can my child bring in invitations to parties?

Your child may bring in invitations ONLY if all of the students are
invited (i.e., if only boys are invited, all the boys in the class must be
invited, the same for girls.)If this is not the case, please mail the
invitations OR use the phone list that was sent home at the beginning of the
year.
