FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions
of students and parents.
  1. What happens if my child is absent?
  2. What happens if my child does not complete his/her homework?
  3. Can I send in birthday treats on my child's birthday?
  4. Can my child bring in invitations to parties?

What happens if my child is absent?

If your child is not in school, we will make every effort to send
work home
with the people you identified at the beginning of the year.
Missing work
should be returned within a day or two of coming back to school.
Students
are responsible for copying any notes that they missed during
their
time out of the classroom. If your child has missed a test or
quiz, he or she
will take it on the first day back.

What happens if my child does not complete his/her homework?

If your child does not complete homework, he/she may miss a
portion of recess to work on what was not completed. Please
assist your child by checking that the homework is complete
before signing his/her planner.

Can I send in birthday treats on my child's birthday?

Yes, you can send in treats. The only thing we ask is that you
avoid sending
in items with nuts. Also, be sure there are enough for
everyone. We
currently have 27 students in our classroom. Birthday treats are
shared
during lunch time in the cafeteria.

Can my child bring in invitations to parties?

Your child may bring in invitations ONLY if all of the students
are
invited (i.e., if only boys are invited, all the boys in the
class must be
invited, the same for girls.)If this is not the case, please mail
the
invitations OR use the phone list that was sent home at the
beginning of the
year.
