About The Teacher
Ms. Ruffalo has been teaching at Kinry for twelve years now. She got her Music Education degree (Bachelor's) from Ithaca College in 1993. She is certified K-12 Vocal and Instrumental Music. She is a professional singer and conductor. She earned her Master's degree in Choral and Orchestral Conducting also from Ithaca College in 1998. She has extensive background in musical theater as well. She worked for five years as an adviser with the RCK Drama Team, "Masque and Mime". This is officially Ms. Ruffalo's fifteenth year of teaching! Killian is her beloved feline friend and he's a wacky Maine Coon who's a sweet, clumsy clown. His birthday is June 7. Ms. R's birthday is October 7 ... and she really enjoys celebrating. Don't bring gifts, bring cheer and hugs. :)

Mission
My mission for LIFE: to make a positive difference in the world and to leave behind something good, something bigger than all of us. I teach music because I love it and I love sharing it with students. My job is the best and I am fortunate to work in the most noble profession in the world. I just want for students to feel that music is something they can appreciate and enjoy for their entire life. And if they choose it as a career, even better. However, I am more concerned about my students being the best possible HUMANS that they can be at all times. "They may not remember what you said or did, but they will remember how you made them feel." - Quote- not sure who said it but, it's really excellent.
