The Lackawanna Teacher Center had its beginning in 1990 when a grant was
awarded by the New York State Education Department. It is a single district
center and serves the teachers and constituients of the Lackawanna City
School District and the non-public schools in the area of the school district.
Learning, Teaching, Collaborating:
The Mission of the Lackawanna Teacher Center is to establish a viable
professional growth center where training, research, and development can
occur for individuals and groups by extending the district's current
commitment to staff development.
To accomplish this mission the center is housed in room 101A at the
Lackawanna Middle School.
