How can I get the work that my child did not bring home?

I am usually here after school. If it is before 4:00 p.m. call
ahead. After
4:00 p.m. you will be taking a chance that you may not be able to
get into
the building. Have your child make arrangements with another
student who they
could call for assignments.

How do I find out how my child is progressing in class.?

We have four marking periods when report cards are issued. The
first marking
period we ask all parents to come in for a conference where you
will receive
your child's report card. You can contact me at any time via the
student
agenda, e mail, or on the phone.

How do I get make-up work for my child when he is absent?

If you are able to retrieve work for your child, call early in
the morning
and I will collect the work and have it in the office for you at
the end of
the school day.

Can my child stay after school for help?

My students are welcomed to stay after school for help. Make
arrangements
with me as I may have a meeting or class to attend. There is a
late bus that
arrives at our building at 3:45 for those students who normally
take the bus
except on Fridays.

Can my child have work to do on an extended family vacation?

We do not want to encourage you to pull your children out of
school for
vacations during school time. We provide work only for students
who are
absent due to illness or other circumstances that are
unpreventable. If you
take such a vacation, I suggest to my students that they keep a
journal of
their experiences.
