Lansingburgh High School Graduation Requirements
Course & Credit Requirements
* English – 4 credits
* Social Studies – 4 credits
* Math – 3 credits *
* Science – 3 credits *
* Art or Music – 1 credit
* PE - 2 credits
* Health – ½ credit
* French or Spanish – 1 credit (*Three credits for Regents and
Advanced Regents Diploma.) Students considering a four year college should
take take a 3 year sequence along with the regents exam.
* Additional Sequence – 3 credits or a 5th unit of English or Social
Studies
Total credits required – 22 (requirements plus electives)

*** As per recent NYS Ed regulations, the Class of 2009 must earn a "65" on
at least 2 of the tests listed above. The Class of 2010 will need a 65 on
at least 3 regents exams.
*Students seeking an Advanced Regents Diploma must additionally pass
Regents Exams in Math B, a 2nd Regents Science, and French or Spanish 3.
Students considering a four year college should take Math A, Math A/B, Math
B, and PreCalc. In Science, Regents Biology, Regents Earth Science and
Regents Chem. A fourth year of science is also recommended.
* Students with IEP’s may meet testing requirements by passing appropriate
RCT’s.
