The rules of common courtesy should be followed at all time: raise your hand to ask and answer a question, do not get out of your seat without permission...etc. 3. Each day you are to come prepared for class: book, notebook, pen, pencil, calculator and folder. 4. You are required to keep a notebook. It is expected that it will contain ALL notes, handouts, homework, quizzes, and tests. 5. All homework assignments are due the following class period unless specified. They are to be done neatly and must have your name, date and assignment name. NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!! 6.All students MUST complete a minimum of thirty (30) acceptable lab assignments. If the minimum is not met, you will not be allowed to take the Regents in June. This will cause you to fail the course and exclude you from attending summer school. 7. All lab assignments are due at the end of class unless otherwise stated. All late labs will be dropped one grade (25%). 8. If you are absent from class, YOU are responsible for the work missed. Call a friend for the assignment, check the class website, or call the school in the morning to have your assignments sent to the attendance office to be picked up at the end of the day. If you were unable to obtain the assignment before you return, you must get the assignment from me, and turn it in the following day. 9. GRADING POLICY: Tests/Quizzes 60% Laboratory 20% Class Participation 20% 10. Class Participation shall include, but not be limited to, notebook, homework, attendance and class behavior. Remember if you are not in class, you cannot participate. 11. If you are absent from class, you must make up the class and work as soon as possible. You can do this by arranging to come in during a free period or reporting after school at 3:00 on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. 12. Remember that there is an attendance policy. If you exceed 36 days absent from class and lab combined without making them up, you will lose credit for the course. Remember that only legal absences can be made up.
