GRADING


To Parents/Guardians/Students:

    Students receive numerical grades in each of their core classes and 
encore classes. For each core class subject (ELA, Math, Social Studies, and 
Science), the grades for each student are recorded, categorized, and 
weighted.  Please see example below:

                          TESTS: 50
                       HOMEWORK: 10
                  PARTICIPATION: 5
               PROJECTS/REPORTS: 35


    For a student to receive an Honor Roll Award, the Quarterly averages
 must fall within the following ranges:  
              
                     Honor Roll:   Quarterly average:  88-91
                High Honor Roll:   Quarterly average:  92-95
           Principal Honor Roll:   Quarterly average:  96-100
