Pick A Reading Partner (PARP) ends TOMORROW March 23rd

PARP is a NYS PTA program that asks parents to read with their children for at least fifteen minutes daily, stressing the fact that reading can be fun as well as informative. During PARP our families will keep track of their reading in their train ticket reading logs. This daily activity of reading together strengthens reading and communication skills and also strengthens the parent/child relationship. PARP helps cement the bond between home and school to encourage the love of reading in our children.

School-Wide Reading Competition
Our theme, "Ticket to Read," is based on the "Ticket to Ride" board game where players create railroad tracks connecting stations. In our reading competition, we will help 3 Moose sisters travel along tracks to their brother, Max - waiting at his MPES station. Students will be assigned to a team - the more they read the farther their train travels. Which Moose sister will get to Max first?

Our winning team will be announced by Max & his sister TOMORROW at the
