Welcome to our MES family, and thank you for visiting. Please permit me
to introduce myself. My name is Scott Brown, and I am the Principal of
Marlboro Elementary School. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from
SUNY New Paltz and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from the New
York Institute of Technology. I was born in Astoria, Queens and was raised
in Washingtonville NY. My wife and I adopted a beautiful baby
girl named Shaelin Hope Li Brown. Shaelin is extremely happy and growing up
so fast!
My educational career began when I taught fourth and fifth grade in the
Valley Central School District. Upon completing my third year in Valley
Central, I decided to take a fourth grade teaching position in the Monroe
Woodbury School District. I have been the Principal of Marlboro Elementary
School since September 2006.
I consider myself to be a very energetic, approachable, and dedicated
educator and administrator. As a parent myself, I know that all parents and
guardians want the very best for their children. Teamwork is an essential
building block of education. We are here to work together for the benefit of
each and every child that walks through our doors.
We have a wonderful and dedicated staff at Marlboro Elementary School. I
am very fortunate to work with teachers and staff who care so much for our
children. My wife and I consider MES to be our second home and I hope you do
as well!
I look forward to another tremendous school year!
