11/16 - 11/20Introduction to Ch. 5 The Road to Revolution.Students will learn about the importance of the Albany Plan of Union and the early British defeats during the French and Indian War.Students will be working on a Map Mystery in which they will learn the strategic importance of forts during the French and Indian War.Students will be introduced to how and why colonists began to resist British control.Current Events
11/23 - 11/27Today we will be discussing the series of acts placed on the colonists by England and the impact these acts had on colonial resistance toward the British monarchy.  NO SCHOOLNO SCHOOL
11/30 - 12/4Today we will be discussing the issues that led the colonists from protest to rebellion.Discussion on the events that resulted in the "Shot being heard around the world"Students will be examining the events that led to the decision to fight the war for independence from Britain, focusing on the decisions made by the SEcond Continental Congress.Today we will break down and analyze the Olive Branch Petition sent by the colonists to King George III.
