Each week your child will be bringing home a little red sight word book.
Please have your child read the book to you every night.
Remind your child to point to each word as he/she reads across the page.
Please return the books by Friday.
The kindergarten children usually have 3-4 activity sheets to work on
throughout the week. You can work on them with your child at his/her own
pace. Please return them to school on Friday. If possible, please keep the
weekly packet stapled together.
It is very important that your child practice writing his/her own name
on EACH homework paper. If your child is having difficulty with the formation
of the letters in his/her name, please use a yellow marker to write your
child's name and have him/her trace it.
Check for proper pencil grip and correct formation of
upper and lower case letters.
If your child is asked to color, please have him/her use crayons and
color as neatly as possible.
