Mrs. Herrera is in her eleventh year of school nursing at MPES. She is a
Registered Nurse with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She is pursuing a
Master Degree in Healthcare Administration. She has worked in a
variety of areas including public health, medical/surgical,and behavioral
health.She is married and has three children. Her hobbies include
hiking,swimming,gardening,and horseback riding.
The school nurse is focusing on educating the student to make resposible
choices regarding their health and wellness.
A coordinated school health program embraces its' interdisciplinary efforts
to educate students on making the right choices to achieve a lifetime of
