I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I was lucky enough to have 12 of my family join me for dinner, a small group, as I usually have over 24 on Christmas. 

The children enjoyed going outside and visiting the third grade feast. Twelve turkeys roasting on spits over a huge wood fire, an apple cider press and outdoor games favored by pilgrim and native american children! I hope you are lucky enough to join in this fabulous tradition when your children become third graders. The children also make placemats, apple betty, stuffing, potatoes and corn for their feast.

The children will all be excited these next few weeks with the holidays coming. Please make sure you try to keep them to a routine and get them to bed early - it will make school a more pleasant place AND help keep them healthy.
