I have been teaching for almost 20 years in Special Education classes. My
first assignment was in a psychiatric hospital unit for children in the New
York City Public Schools. In the following 8 years, I taught in self-
contained classes, resource room and full inclusion programs for grades
k-8 in NYC. I have been in my current class at MPES for the last 10 years.
I received a BS from Syracuse University in Drama and English, and a MS from
Hunter College in Behavior Disorders in Education. I have two children of
my own, ages 11 and 13. I feel blessed to work with the children and their
families at MPES and look forward to a wonderful year.
To nurture children in a warm and loving environment as they begin their
journey in education. To teach in a joyful, fun atmosphere using
individual, small group instruction, and varied modalities to help children
achieve the social and academic expectations for kindergarten.
