ELA

Overview:
This year in ELA we will focus on developing each child's writing ability.  
Specifically, we will be looking carefully at how words are built, their 
parts and meanings, listening to and writing different genres of 
literature, and speaking.  

Help Opportunities:
We are fortunate to have at least two teachers working in the room during 
ELA class.  Students will receive very personilized instruction.  They must 
take advantage of this opportunity by coming to class prepared to 
work.  In addition, they may seek help during flex periods, after school and 
lunch.  

Homework:  Students should expect homework in ELA three nights a week.  It 
is important to complete it so that he/she is prepared for the following 
class.  If your child is struggling with the homework please sign it so that 
we may work him/her the following day.
